Mr. Clift (Senior Advisor) joined Schultz Collins in 2010 with 20 years of financial services experience. For the prior 17 years, he had worked in several capacities for Charles Schwab & Company. His most notable experience was in performing research and analysis, and providing commentary, on the fixed income markets and the real estate investment trust market to Schwab investment professionals.
He also represented Schwab’s Fixed Income Department on the firm’s Investment Strategy Council. The objective of the Council was to analyze global equity and fixed income markets and provide strategic and tactical strategies to Schwab Financial Consultants and clients.
He holds a BS degree in Applied Economics and a Masters Degree in Financial Analysis, both from the University of San Francisco.
Mr. Wolf (Senior Advisor) has been working in financial services since he joined Schultz Collins in 2001. He participates in every aspect of portfolio supervision for the firm’s clients, having served both as senior analyst and head trader. He is expert in the utilization of indices in the statistical analysis and evaluation of investment vehicles and client portfolios.
Prior to joining Schultz Collins, Mr. Wolf was a business consultant both to small private and large public firms. From 1994 to 1997, he was Associate Director of the International Group of Philip Services, Inc. He studied environmental sciences and chemistry at the University of California at Berkeley, and holds an MBA from Columbia University. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and has lived in Venezuela and Brazil.
Mr. Wolf’s extra-curricular time is spent with his wife and two young children. He also has affiliations with the Board of Urban Services YMCA, a Bay Area non-profit dedicated to creating and managing programs which foster youth, family, and community development.
M. Michael Lane
Mr. Lane (Advisor) began his career as an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley in 2012. Entering the financial services industry in the aftermath of the global financial crisis gave him a comprehensive education in failed investment processes that had been implemented in the real world. The experience helped shape his conviction that all investors would do well to adhere to the standards of prudent investing.
Prior to joining Schultz Collins, Mr. Lane worked as a senior member of a financial planning team at Ameriprise Financial. His experience included assisting in the design, implementation, and rebalancing of investment portfolios, as well substantial trading activities. He has a strong interest in the quantitative and statistical aspects of portfolio construction, and continues to study their applications to wealth management.
Mr. Lane attended the University of California, San Diego, where he studied psychology and the philosophy of law and society. He holds a Master of Science in Financial Analysis from the University of San Francisco. He is a proud military veteran; before he began his career in finance, he served four years in the United States Navy as a member of an elite Naval Special Warfare unit.
