Dale Schultz is a founding principal of Schultz Collins. He serves as a financial advisor and consultant to individual investors and fiduciaries of qualified retirement plans and institutional accounts. He has been a financial advisor since 1984. Mr. Schultz researched and adopted many of the objective statistical and mathematical principles that now serve as the basis for the practice’s investment counsel.

An early advocate of objective investment advice, he instituted a fee-based approach to portfolio design and management in the late 1980s, while developing systems and protocol for supervising investment portfolios.

Mr. Schultz has served as an advisor to law firms, professional and industry associations, school districts, and corporations, with respect to the policy and structure of their investment programs. In recent years, he has focused on the evolving regulation of participant-directed qualified plans under ERISA and is the co-author of a definitive book on the subject.

Mr. Schultz studied philosophy at Michigan State University and holds a Professional Designation in Financial Planning from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the San Francisco chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Conference.
